Kinnu - Give everyone the power to learn anything they want to.
Kinnu is an EdTech on a mission to give everyone the power to learn anything they want to. I've worked here as a multi-disciplined designer across brand, product and marketing (including CRM). I’ve outlined my responsibilities below with example screenshots…
Kinnu Design System
I created the design system, digital guidelines and component library for the Kinnu. Before joining, all designs had been created on Adobe Ai, i owned the migration of existing designs and future screens across to Figma for a more streamlined design and engineering process.
Kinnu Web work
I designed multiple websites for Kinnu, from the main site to landing pages for testing, liaising with an off-shore team for development.
Kinnu CRM
I owned CRM design (Figma) and implementation (Brevo), from onboarding emails to product feature announcements, across B2C. Here are a few examples…
Kinnu Ads & animations
I designed and produced product promo ads, animated explainers and many statics, liaising with an offshore paid ad marketing agency.
Embracing AI
We were always experimenting to streamline workflows, become more efficient and make our lives easier. One example of this was the task of creating 100+ origami characters to use as learning topic mascots. We experimented with a few softwares like Midjourney and ChatGPT’s Dall-E to create these origami concepts with the detailed flow as follows:
Concept creation > Dall-E prompt & image generation > Photoshop > GIMP software > Figma
New feature experiments
Part of my product responsibilities was focused on new feature experiments with the aim of improving user retention. These experiments included designing gamified features like ‘Perfect Week - Gold Stamps’ and ‘Achievement Badges/ Stickers’. I designed flows in Figma, prototypes and wrote detailed specs for engineering to follow.
